![]() Rating: - Works FineI loaded the program into my EeePC Net Book, connected the included GPS device to a USB port, and it ran perfectly the first time. If you have a decent laptop or Net Book this is a great buy - especially at the reduced price I paid ($37.99). (Buy it, unless you actually need a newer map than 2009) Rating: - Not for newbiesDifficult to use. Not intuitive like Microsoft's Streets and Trips. Would not recommend to anyone who wants use a simple to use laptop navigation program. Though the program has many features there is quite a learning curve to use them. I'm sorry I didn't buy a newer version of Streets & Tips. Rating: - LukeI works fast and when using it with your Laptop big screen is really nice too! Rating: - Delorme and Trailer Life ComboThe Earthmate LT-40 software and GPS receiver is a very good value. It works like a regular GPS but with the large screen on a laptop. However, I purchased the package to get the LT-40 GPS receiver to connect to my laptop and then to operate with my copy of Trailer Life's CD version of their campground directory. WORKS GREAT! Download the serial emulator from Delorme and attach it to the Trailer Life Campground Directory mapping software and away you go with a few clicks. The TLCD software supplies the campground and the LT-40 supplies the GPS. THE LT-40 seems to be a very sensitive receiver for use in our motorhome. See Ya Later Rating: - Delorme EarthMate LT-40for a GPS this unit and software this is simply the best-bang-for-the buck, by far...it does necessitate a LapTop...and the software interface could use some human-friendly re-engineering...but all-in-all it works great, is accurate, and has many features...I own 2, and therefore would highly recommend this purchase...jo'c |
