They lasted six months before the ear buds fell apart. Cloth cord rubbing against anything ruins the music you're listening to. Sound was very good and the mic allowed clear phone calls - until it broke.

These are decent in-ear iPhone headphones. They suffer from the exact same problem as every other in-ear headphones with mic and remote do: they break immediately. In this case, it was six weeks.
This is my fourth pair in about a year. I've used Ultimate Ears SuperFi 4vi Noise Isolating Earphones w/ Microphone (~$100; broke once in ~3 months; replaced under warranty, broke again); NuForce NE-7M Stereo Earphones / Headset (iPhone Compatible)s ($55; broke in about 2 months). Now I'm on the Metro.Fi 100vs (paid $35 in Sept. 2009). You can see that I'm simply buying cheaper and cheaper earbuds because of durability issues. This is the only rational course of action.
It's natural to assume that I'm using these too strenuously. I doubt it. I work at home and about 2/3 of my use is there. I also use them on the NYC subways, where having in-ear monitors that occlude the ear is very important. That's about it. Is that strenuous use? If it is, then the problem isn't me, it's the headphones. The problem is that companies have little incentive to produce better headphones. The more they break, the more we buy them. I'd stress that this happens with basically every type of earbud. I used many other brands, inc. Sennheiser, before I got a iPhone, and the results are pretty much the same. The problem for iPhone users is that we have to pay a premium for headphones with mics and remotes. Caveat emptor.
I encourage anyone whose headphones have broken to contact Logitech (UE's parent) customer service for a replacement at 866-837-7734. This is the usual off-shore call center, but if you jump through their hoops they will replace them at no cost to you. (They claimed they will send me a UPS shipping label, so presumably shipping to them is free. I will update to confirm that. I've done this process before with the SuperFi's, though, so I'm confident I'll get them eventually.)
Compared to the others on that list, I actually rather liked these. The provided hard case is nice. The smallest-size earbuds fit well and comfortably. The sound quality is reasonable. They're a good buy for the money... as long as you don't expect them to last.

Oh, I was looking forward to receiving these, and was sorely disappointed. As another reviewer pointed out, the fabric cord transmits sound every time it rubs against your clothes, your hair, anything. Awful. But they fit in my ears.

Of the three different brands of earbuds I've used with my iPhone this one strikes a nice balance between function, sound quality, and price. As in-ear earphones, they are a great improvement over the standard buds Apple ships with the iPhone, both in comfort and in sound. And for listening to music on the iPhone or iPod, the sound quality is very close to that of the higher-end set (Skullcandy FMJ) that I had bought for twice the price.
I am curious about their durability. In a year, I have been through four pairs of earbuds for my iPhone: two of the Apple standards, and two of the Skullcandy (an initial pair plus a replacement under warranty).
This pair seems to have an advantage with cloth wound cables. An issue I had with both the Apple and Skullcandy sets was that the cable/wire had a tendency to hang with strange angles and twists, that, combined with the "stickiness" of the plastic coating made it extremely susceptible to snagging on everything from items of clothing to door handles. The cloth wound cables "slide" better and hang more naturally so I have not an issue with the wire catching.

Sound quality is great, they feel comfortable, and the controls work nicely. But I've tried all 3 sizes of the ear buds and can't seem to get the right fit. They still fall out or start to slip out just when I'm sitting. When I start walking it's even more prevalent. Plus, when wearing a jacket the wires rub and the noise can be heard.
