Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Not Just for Wide Feet
This is a very comfortable and supportive shoe. Of all the basketball shoes I have bought in the past - Nike, Converse, Reebok - I can honestly say this is the best. New Balance is a great brand and is one of the few that have a good selection in various widths. Anyhow, I bought a regular (medium) shoe and played ball the day I got them. They felt snug, secure, and broken-in on the first day. The buckles add extra stability for the stop and go's, and as a result, I don't feel my big toe getting smashed in like I did with all the other shoes.

They look great and feel great. You can't really see it from the pictures, but the waves in the sole are hollow, so you can see through it. It adds a nice flare to the look of a shoe that already looks good. Great shoe, great price, great buy.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Great shoe
Similar to what Juan's thoughts were, I'm a 13 2E and have tried many sneakers, from Nike, Reebok, Converse, And1's, including the NB888, and it's tough to find a solid shoe for people with wide feet. It's stable and provides great support. I bought the last 13 EE so I can only hope that an updated model will come out soon as I go through shoes fairly quickly.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Your BBall sneaker search is over!
First off I'm a size 12 double wide (2e). Not many sneaker companies even bother trying to accommodate wide feet. Nike certainly doesn't. That said I've been shopping around for the right basketball sneakers for months on end... I've finally found them! I recently tried the New Balance BBB888 `s. Big mistake (I've written a review on them on this site if interested). I sent them back to New Balance for the black BB905 `s... best decision I've ever made. One would think the 905 is the next generation of the 904, but these sneakers have nothing in common. The 905 actually seems to be the new modernized and improved version of the discontinued BB8026 (which, from what I hear, was a great sneaker). Now what do the 905's have going for them? Well for starters they've managed to put everything that is important in a bball sneaker together. Pros: Looks are much better than in the pictures (I think they look great, and had people asking me about them), great heel stability, good torsional rigidity, appropriate flexion in the forefoot (instead of collapsing in midfoot when stressed), synthetic upper with a nice sized toe box (good bye black nail from microhemorrhages), breathability (not the best, but not bad at all), a great strap that functions to wrap the shoe around your midfoot for better/faster response and the feeling that the shoe is merely an extension of your foot, descent bounce, good for cutting, great court floor traction, stiff shoe (good for turf toe , hallux rigidus- but would still add a spring plate insole)
Cons: Few that I can think off... but if I had to I'd pick... I'd say the thin insole is one, also they are ¾ length and did not feel too short on the ankles, but as I've broken my ankle in the past, wish they made a full length hightop in this model, I also wish they had more of a rocker bottom sole, but that's because of my hallux limitus requirements and doesn't take away from this great shoe. I'm quite tempted to buy an extra pair and leave `em in the closet for when these eventually break down. Yeah, I liked them that much...
