Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - What the Hell is everybody whineing about, this movie is great
Well I just want to say this movie is way better than the first 2 Prequel Movies (The Phantom Penance and Attack of the Clowns), this movie is an absolute popcorn Saturday Afternoon movie, just like the Originals, you know before Lucas screwed them up (dont get me wrong the first special editions were good, I am on about the new ones).

This movie has everything you could want Spunky Young Heroine, Cool Jedi, Funny Droids - its everything the Prequels should have been but werent, this is the reason I have given this 5 stars - I hope the series continues to improve more on this winning format.

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Not for everyone, but still Star Wars
The Clone Wars is George Lucas' latest attempt to capitalize on the Star Wars franchise and not a bad attempt at that. Since this is animated the cas are able to fully utilize the arsenals at their disposal, and boy do they. The story goes a little something like this: Count Dooku has kidnapped Jaba's son in an effort to frame the Jedi and gain control of the space around the outer rim. Anakin is sent to retrieve the little slug affectionately named "Stinky" with his padawan Ahsoka Tano. From the beginning these two have more of a brother/sister relationship than a teacher/student one, but it does work for Anakin. As expected the war never stops in this film and double cross after double cross the Jedi finally succeed in the mission. I enjoyed it, but I can easily see that this film might not be for everyone.

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - I HAVE NOT SEEN THIS. NOR DO I INTEND TO
The commercials are uninspiring. If George Lucas was any decent human being instead of wasting time with this, he should have redone that fiasco Revenge of the Sith. A better story as to why Anakin became Darth Vader. I didn't buy it. An older more convincing actor to play Anakin/Vader. I didn't buy that either. Hayden Christensen was acceptable in Clones but it was time for someone else. Billy Cruddup would have been perfect. He looks like he could have been Luke Skywalker's father. And he's a much better actor. Count Dooku should not have been killed at the beginning of the movie. He should have been saved as an adversary for Darth Vader after being put into the suit. And most of all a different director should have helmed the project. Someone with a vision like Irvin Kershner's. But noooooooooooo! We get this lifeless who cares what happened between Clones and Sith. When we should have got what happened between Sith and Hope. We waited six years. Six long years, 1999 to 2005 to finally get the complete story on how Darth Vader came to be. Then when we do, it's huh! Is that all? Then instead of getting more Darth Vader we get more boring... Anakin to contend with. Lucas authorized this film for one reason only. To put the high priced gasoline into all of his expensive cars.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Worth seeing. Better than expected.

I was 11 in 1977 when Star Wars (now A New Hope) was released. So, I have literally grown up with it. My child is now about the same age and is loving the "new" Star Wars. This movie is definitely one to see if you have grown up with it or if you have a new Star Wars fan.

The story is good. It fits well with the overall story line. My child is a fan of the Cartoon Network Clone Wars cartoons. I generally am not. However, we both enjoyed this movie.

The voices, although most not the original actors, did not ruin the movie. It being an animated movie instead of a "live" Star Wars movie also did not ruin it. These were two concerns I had prior to seeing it.

Overall, it was not a 5-star movie, but I think I can sum it up - it was better than I thought it would be.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Breathing fresh air all over the Star Wars universe.
The critics can say what they will. This movie, although animated, lives up to the quality that Lucas is known for. It is made spot-on, excellent music, the best computer animation I've seen so far, and a full movie length plot to boot! This could have easily been a waste of space in the hands of anyone by the master himself, Lucas. Think about it. Star Wars is his. THX is his. Home Theater and consumer electronics manufacturers seek his approval and endorsement like so many new puppies. This is animation production as good as can possibly be as of 2008. The soundtrack by Kevin Kiner and the City Of Prague Philharmonic orchestra breathes fresh air all over the themes and nuances of what we've all become overly used to in the 6 live action films that have come before. Well done George, keep it up, no matter what they say about your work. You are doing excellent art here, true to your vision and with a respectful nod to the fans, young and old, who put you where you are today.
