I had read some less-than good reviews, and I figured for under $12, I can't go wrong. I unpacked it, grabbed a random microSD card, microSD card USB reader, plugged it in, and before my car stereo was initialized, the first song was playing, and I had to tune to the default station. The unit initializes in less than 2 seconds and begins playing the start of the last song played as soon as it gets power from the lighter socket.
Sound quality is decent, don't expect perfect quality sound, but then again, if you're driving in a car, you're going to hear road noise over the stereo anyway. Sound quality is at least that of cassette tape. Tracks up immediately. Does not appear to have any playlist, folders, or random features, but I haven't looked into it much. EQ presets are typical- bass, classical, rock, pop, jazz, normal, and all but normal sound poor. Unit's volume should be set to near maximum, just below the distortion threshhold.
Remote works fine. My track-up button on the unit doesn't work most of the time, but I'm not concerned. Overall, it's a steal for a working MP3 player & FM transmitter. And no wires to mess with, just plug it in & go! I have not had the fuse problem happen yet, and have not tried the SD card slot nor the audio cable plugin.

This gadget does what it says it does, but I'm not sure I can say it does it well. It took some figuring out to get my SD card in the right way (not intuitive), so it kept saying "no device." Even when I have the SD card in correctly, if I move the unit (it tilts for better viewing at different angles), sometimes it will read "no device" and I need to jiggle it. It is lightweight cheap plastic.
On the positive side, it has an impressive display for such an inexpensive unit (moving graphic of a car when the unit starts up), and it displays the song titles if they're coded into the mp3 file. FM transmission is as expected with good sound quality (not outstanding). The equalizer is okay and it can help achieve better sound depending on what you're listening to. The remote control functions well (and comes with a battery).
Summary: This is not a high-end device, but for just over $10 I find it impressive they can produce, package, ship, distribute and market an FM transmitter that reads SD cards and USB flash drives. I don't expect it to last long, but if it does (with gentle handling and use), I'll be happy.

this thing is crap it doesn't read anything I hook it up to it just says no device I know everyone said that the cord to hook up the mp3 player was junk but I thought maybe they just got some bad ones man mine just barely worked I mean how can they send something without testing it what do they do just stand there and make these things and say well I hope this works I'm sorry but things like this just make me mad whats the point in making a product that doesn't even work did they think the consumer wouldn't find out or something but yes this thing is the cheapest piece of crap that i've ever bought DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT you will be very dissapointed even if you only paid ten dollars for it.

My roommmate, as well as I , bought this device. For only $10, this is the perfect thing in the world. Take 16GB SD card and a 4GB MicroSDHC card with adapter, and sound quality is amazing. Signal very strong, even overrides the local FM channel. Forget about all other car music options.
Remote kind of stopped working, I will just buy another set although I don't really need the remote.

This product is a piece of Sh**. Buy it only if you can accept static noise playing at the background. The remote control never work and by the way, this unit completely quit the next day. I want my money back."
