Hi, this gun is one of the best snipers on the market. It is very sturdy but is on the heavy side. The entire barrel is metal along with the various rails on the top and sides. The box says it has 415-430 but I bet it is about 450fps. The scope is awesome and long. Very accurate once the lines are matched. The scope is very long. I think it is about 8-10 inches for an estimate. When you order this gun off of amazon.com, you get a bi-pod, a scope with scope rings, a speed loader, and a sling. This gun is bolt action which means it was a bolt you have to cock back to operate this gun. It is no problem for me to pull the bolt back but it might be harder for others. I got this gun today (11/17/09)and was a little dissapointed with how there were not very good instructions. But in the end, I figured it out. When you open the box, you will see a foot long box. That contains the scope. It is a 4-9 X 40 scope and it is great. The gun is in two pieces when in the box. The barrel and the body of the gun. Just align the barrel of the gun with the body and fit then into each other. It is pretty simple. My gun did not come with screws but it still works fine as long as the barrel is in the body all the way. My yard is about one acre, and I put a white lawn chair about half way across the yard. I pulled the bolt back, shot, half a second later I hear a faint 'ting'. It was a perfect hit. I couldnt have asked for a better gun and also cant wait to shoot my brother with it in tomorrows war. THIS IS AN AMAZINGLY ACCURATE, POWERFUL, AND DURABLE GUN. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMEND IT TO ANYONE WHO WANTS A GREAT SNIPER RIFLE. IT IS ALSO COMPATIBLE WITH UTG L96 MAGAZINES.

Ok, so to get started,I bought this same exact sniper rifle on airsplat, but it really doesnt make a difference. So I was psyched when I first got it and I bought it with a bag of .2 gram bb's....bad idea. They flail out in random directions after about 50 yards....so I bought some .28 gram bb's and was making accuarate shots at around 80 and sometimes 100 yards. The 3-9X40 scope that came with it broke, so I bought a new simmons 3-9X50. THEN, my hop up broke; so now its custom set and I really dont mind taking the barrel out to adjust it. THEN, the spring in my piston got REALLY weak, so I replaced it with a super ridiculous spring I found laying around the house. After all this, my rifle shoots about 430 fps with .28 gram bb's and I can hit a man sized target at around 90 yards in ideal conditions.(dont believe me, ask all my friends, none of my long range shots are lucky, it just takes a lot of calculation and practice getting used to wind direction and speed, along with temperature.) This rifle has GREAT capability, but it is made with so many plastic parts, it gets annoying! Just yesterday, my trigger box went to crap(censored). I am getting it replaced tomorrow. All this after one year and I live in the hard conditions of Colorado.
Now, I HIGHLY recommend that ANYONE who buys this is REALLY, and I mean REALLY, patient and gentle with this rifle. bring the bolt back nice and easy, but with enough force to keep it from double feeding or flying out of your hands; SQUEEZE the trigger, DONT PULL IT!!! You dont know how much I regret forgetting to do that sometimes; DONT drop it, NO MATTER WHAT!!!. For people beginning to snipe, here are the rules for adjusting your scope to center; move your left/right, up/down knobs in the OPPOSITE direction of the flight path(ex: shot placement is right and upward from bullseye; move windage LEFT and Elevation DOWN! I made the mistake of believing these corny instructions that came with the first scope and it really frustrated me.
All in all, this is a great weapon system. I really hope this made your shopping experience better and helped you decide to get this rifle(or not, but what can I say, its awesome)

This airsoft was for my son - he researched a number of guns and decided on this one b/c of it's power, accuracy, and durability. He has not been disappointed! He and his friends have had a fantastic time playing with it (ofcourse always using proper protective gear.)
The other thing I was impressed with was how quickly the seller shipped - it came within 5 days or so (it's been a while so a can't remember exact shipping time.) It was a very smooth transaction from start to finish, and an excellent product!

I received the gun, but it was not the one i ordered. It looks the same but is a totally different brand and instead of 500 fps as advertised, the box said 420fps. That said it so far seems to be a pretty decent gun with good power and accuracy. It penetrated a pop can at about 30 yards. I am though dissapointed with Airsplat and their false advertising. Don't advertise one brand and then send a totally different one. Judging by other comments, i'm not the only one this has happened to.
