My 1 star rating is for the poor BD trasnfer only, the show itself is Amazing, one of the best out there
right now! And, for that, such a great amazing show deserved a much better transfer.
The picture quality it's just a little bit better than the standard DVD image.
This is an outrage! I'm disappointed!

I have both the regular DVDs and the Blu-ray and it's worth the price increase for the Blu-ray. The picture is crystal clear on my 73" TV. The color is amazing especially the Christmas episode. The only draw back is that the menu doesn't pop up when you insert the disk. It will start to play the first episode on the disk. You need to then access the menu to choose an episode. Minor inconvenience. I will be getting the Blu-ray versions from now on.

As much as I love the show and would naturally give it top marks, the blu-ray menu is buggered. You cannot select individual episodes, and the menu button will only take you into the extras menu, with no way to go elsewhere other than back to the episode it thinks you're watching. You want episode six on disc one, fast forward and skip through the first five. Yes, it really is that bad!
I pre-ordered mine, maybe early sets were screwed up and later runs were fixed? If anyone has them on blu-ray and they have proper access to the episodes, please shout and let me know Warner have fixed their mistake. Hopefully I'd be able to get them to swap these duff ones for what the product should have been, and then give this product the five stars the show deserves.
As for this season itself, it's excellent. Good script, acting and themes, plus the duo's humor, make this one hell of a show.
UPDATE: After looking around online I've discovered that perhaps the menu isn't broken, but someone took the brain-dead decision to not implement episode selection from the main menu. However, when you have an episode playing, selecting the pop-up menu will let you jump to another episode. I'd bump the star rating up to 3 with this information, but review editing doesn't currently allow for a change :(
Roll on season 5!

From the beginning, this series has continued to surprise me. Rarely, has a show of this nature held my interest for so long. I am more the type to watch science fiction flicks or shows. I started watching this with my wife when it started a couple years back and now I am hooked! I really can't wait for season 4!

After the risk that Supernatural may not come back for a third season, anyone that had doubts should have had them erased with Season 3. The writers took the storyline to an entirely new level and blew the past two years out of the water. Season 4 has also done similar. If you have any interest in this show (which you should) start with Season 1 and work your way up. Hopefully the first two seasons will be on Blu-ray soon enough!
