Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Great Tripod for under a $100
I just recently received this tripod and for under $100, I think this is probably the best quality tripod you can get for it's price. This tripod is not the best tripod for video because it doesn't pan very smooth; however, for stills that's not a factor. The legs are a little stiff, but I like it that away. I haven't had any problems with the head screw loosening, I just be sure to tighten it every now and then, unless you are doing 360s you shouldn't have a problem with this, but just be aware. I don't find it take a long time to unscrew the vertical stem. Just one turn loosens the stem enough to raise or lower and another turn tightens. The stem nut doesn't have to be completely loosened to adjust the stem. The product description doesn't mention a quick release plate, but it does come with one. It took a little while to get use to the release because of the safety switch but after some time you begin to like it. When I first put my camera on the tripod it wasn't 100% secure there was a little play, a half a turn of the philip screw on the release lever fixed that. I've never owned a $300 tripod, so I can't compare it to that; however, I can say I'm glad I didn't spend $300 bucks on a tripod, this one is perfect!

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Good for the price, with a few caveats
Pros:
Not too expensive
Fairly sturdy
Highly adjustable legs
Bubble level
Quick release lever and lock
Removable hook

Cons:
Legs are stiff
Head could be smoother
The head screw will loosen if you turn the head to the left because the left/right movement of the head is stiffer than the head/tripod screw attachment. Be careful or you'll screw the head right off!
Compass is a bit of joke. Doesn't work well, but it's tiny so I don't expect it too.
Takes a long time to unscrew the vertical stem
The bag it came with was all moldy, but otherwise, it's a decent bag

This is much better than the cheap tripods, but is not the quality of more expensive ones. It's nice and moderate and a good value if you're looking for something in between.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Can't Go Wrong With This One
I enjoy my Canon 50D and was looking for a new tripod. Most tripods that I found at local stores seemed really cheaply made for the price. The only good ones that I found where [$] for the Bogen and Velbon they were still more than I wanted to pay. When I received this tripod I realize that it was very similar in detail and workmanship as tripods costing near or above $200 dollars. Also is very lightweight but sturdy. I have always had good results with Tiffen products.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - super travel and all purpose tripod
I have seen travel tripods before but the Vista Voyager (Tiffen) provides a very cool combination of size, features, ingenuity, and price. It's a lightweight aluminum grounder tripod (minimum height 11") featuring a three-way adjustable pan-and-tilt FZ10 head; four-section, three-position, snap-lock legs; and bubble levels on the head and yoke. It's even got a directional compass set into the tripod base! It has an easy to use quick lift two-section centerpost so I can take pictures close to the ground or high up with wing lock control for rapid adjustment and locking. I like the bottom centerpost hook to hang my accessories . It even comes with a good quality padded carrying bag. My Nikon D90 works well with this package. I am really happy with the quality and finish of this tripod.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - I LOVE IT!
I bought it to use with my Canon PowerShot SX10IS. It works great for me. It has a nice carrying case that comes with it and is well made.
