I'm so happy that I bought this it gives me more time to worry about taking pictures and spending time with my family while taking pictures at a family function without having to worry about the battery needing to be changed in the middle of activities.

I purchased this grip for the luxury of having extended shooting time as battery drain is one of my BIGGEST pet peeves! I had previously looked at this grip at Wal-Mart who sells it for $100!!!!!!!!!! I've had a amazing service with Amazon and the $30 price tag couldn't be beat so I took the plunge! The grip mounts VERY securely to the base of the camera and can be adjusted from the front or back if it comes loose. There is a slot on the portion of the grip that is inserted into the battery area that holds the battery door to prevent loss or breakage. I found that to be a VERY helpful addition because I'm known for losing small items such as the battery cover. I seriously suggest this product for anyone who uses their XT for more than just a few casual shots here and there. It's a great product and you can't beat the price!

Only had it on my camera for the last few months. I like the ergonomics. Enables better balance for my XTi when using longer lens. Replicated controls are convenient when shooting in portrait mode.
Construction and workmanship is average. Textured grip is a rubber pieced glued to surface of grip. I do see signs of failure from the adhesion. Trigger button doesn't have firm feel as the camera.
So far no issues with showing wrong battery levels as mention on other posts or reviews.

I just received my Battery Grip & I'm amazed of how awesome it is. The buttons we all need are on the grip, the autofocus is amazing, the package also includes an extra battery grip for the AA batteries, OH and the battery grip allows you to store the battery door inside it to. It's easy to put on too. Love it and I didn't have to pay a crazy amount. Thank you Thank you

I was a bit hesitant to pick up this battery grip, as I have always been a Manufacture kind of guy, but the reviews did it for me. Well it arrived today and my first impression is WOW. Fits perfectly, functions perfectly, I can't imagine how the Canon grip could be any better. Also love the little door holder for the battery door you remove.
Works with one or two batteries, has an on/off switch for vertical operation, etc..
I am estatic, of course I haven't had a chance to use it much yet... But I suspect it will work just fine. I am a casual user at best and would recommend to any one.
