I find the sound to be just fine, I'm no audio equipment snob however. It seems clear and accurate - without buzzing or distortion. The headphones themselves can get heavy feeling after a long workout - I find taking them off and drying your head and the sweat out of them helps. I have to say these headphones really changed my workout - they are so convenient and the shuffle of course is wonderful. I highly recommend them! Rating: - Great idea, painfully bad execution I exercise with my iPod Shuffle, and the cords to the headphones are always the weakest link and the reason I have to buy new headphones. I saw this product at BestBuy and thought that it was the best idea I had seen all day. I cheerfully purchased a pair, walked to the nearest bench, and put them on. There isn't nearly enough space between the headband and the muffs, so I had to use my hands to spread the two pieces, grab my ears, and pull them through. It was like paper clips stuck to the tops of my ears. If I didn't do that, they fell off. No matter what, I couldn't find an angle where the gap was sufficiently large for my ears to fit comfortably. After five minutes of futzing with the earphones to make them stay, my ears were tomato red and felt like they were badly sunburned. I walked back into the store with my tomato-red ears exchanged these for a pair of "old-fashioned" corded street-style headphones that work great, thank-you-very-much. I may have a big head, but I've never had a pair of headphones as uncomfortable as these in my life. And to add insult to injury, the sound was noticeably fuzzy and watery sounding, even though I was just listening to a Talk of The Nation podcast. In short, a great idea realized as a total waste of plastic.
