Product Description: portable carrying case and dashboard mount combination for your GPS navigator, stable base with anti-skid materials, includes shoulder and wrist straps
Amazon.com Product Description: The Nav-Pack is an innovative mounting device for most GPS units, and doubles as a carrying case when not in use. Contouring to the top of your dashboard, the Nav-Pack works on most uneven or textured surfaces. By combining the physics of weight distribution and anti-skid material, it keeps your device firmly in place. The Nav-Pack provides a stable mounting base for your portable GPS or other electronic devices, and an adjustable strap snaps into 4 different positions to give you an optimum viewing angle.
When not in use, you can close the Nav-Pack and zip it up. The padded case protects your device for lightweight portability or storing out of sight (e.g., under the seat or in the glove compartment) for added security. A shoulder and wrist strap are included for carrying convenience.
The Nav-Pack's inner dimensions are approximately 5.25 x 4.25 x 1.375 inches (W x H x D).

I already own one of these and like it so much that I bought two (2) of these for my girls for their GPS units. The cases are so much easier to use than window mounts, and make the GPS units completely portable. This is a great gift idea for anyone who isn't sure what to give for the holidays.

I have held off purchasing a GPS for my car because I did not want to mount a bracket anywhere in my new car. This dash mount/carrying case is the best thing to happen to GPS units. Not only is it stable, it has adjustable viewing positions, I can take it in the house when not being used and can transfer it to another vehicle. I am so happy that I bought this item and the GPS.

I love it! I'm a driver for MV Transportation and we drive for Access Services, transporting disabled people across Los Angeles, California.
At a moment's notice. I may have to pull my Garmin Nuvi along with my stuff to set up in another van. I've left behind the suction cup three times, and the typical bean bag/friction mounts are too bulky for what I need.
Everything zips up and tucks away quickly. I keep the cord tucked into the little velcro pocket.
As we transport the disabled, our driving has to be very careful, with no heavy acceleration or stopping (or else we trip the safety camera). I haven't had any problems with the carrying case moving. I jam everything in the left corner of the dash, it doesn't move unless I want it to move.
The only problem I've had is glare. With a suction cup, I can adjust the screen away from glare. The case is a little trickier in daylight hours. However, I find if I move the case around a little bit, it's not much of a problem, and of course, not a problem at night. The case sometimes can even block glare, depending on the angle.
An additional advantage is obscurity. When pulling into a seedy fast food parking lot, I simply flip the case down, covering the screen in the shadow. Unless someone is looking really hard, they can't spot my GPS for a smash and grab. If I'm really paranoid, I can just pull the whole thing and stash it in the back.
This case has been worth every penny.

The missing 'snap' that holds the case open, is an example of todays companies that care more about quanity, tnan quality. The case is good to store your gps in, but it can't be used to display the gps during travel if the 'snap' is missing. I thought I could get a shoe repair shop to install a 'snap' for me, only to find out, shoe repair shops are as hard to find as a company that puts quality ahead of quanity.

This is exactly what people need instead of the one that is attached to the winder. I found it to be less invasive and easier to move so it does not impact you from seeing the road
