I thought it would look ugly when it came out of the box but when I opened it the look blew me away! Using .12's in this gun goes a nice distance but I use .20's because the yare very accurate. I bought a $120 dollar JLS FN200 and this has lasted longer, shot better, and shot way more than that. It doesn't hurt that much but you know when your hit. I accidentally left it charging all night so it lessened the battery, but it's still working and I'm impressed because it works great for a 7. something. I definatley recommend at least another mag and a speedloader. After you get all of those Items your set. Rating: - good model gun I bought this gun after saving up my money. i am a new airsofter and this my first airsoft gun. The pros of this gun are 1: the gun and the accesories it came with consisted of a way too short sling, a crappy inaccurate electronic scope, a fake silencer, a crappy mag, and a good flashlight. these actually made the gun look really cool. 2: the gun is made of strong plastic. So the pros are that the gun is really cool looking and durable. And as for the cons. 1: it didn't come with a laser sight though there was an empty space for one. 2: the gun doesn't shoot even after you charge it, fill up the mag, and hope for the best. 3: All the accesories are crap. So overall this is a GREAT model gun or a gun to scare friends (wink!). I wouldn't reccomend this gun for any actual use but it sure looks cool. I am going to start my comments with a question of other users of this Double Eagle M82 Airsoft Electric Gun S552 Style Electric Rifle. Has anyone been able to find a higher capacity cartridge/clip or whatever one would like to call it, that would fit this gun ? Please let me know in comments or in a review. Good: A great value. Fort little money, this air soft rifle is complete with about everything that one could want. Including protective glasses, quick loader, battery and charger. It is very easy to remove and load the cartridge with it. Has all AEG features. Can be used as a semi-automatic or fully automatic. Comes with a light as well as a laser. A big plus is how the stock can fold up easily and is held down in a way that doesn't interfere with your finger on the trigger, It also is easy to hold as well, to get your arm around it, to the trigger, while the stock is folder to the side of the rifle. Works equally well for both lefthanders and righthanders. After target shooting with my son, who I bought it for, I notice it getting more accurate and predictable. Surprisingly for what is an inexpensive/starter air soft gun. It is plastic, of course, for that price and the market that it is being sold for. Then again, it is lighter than others of its size, because of this. This I look at, as a plus for a starter gun. Improvements that can be made: Because the gun is not "MT" compatible, and is somewhat proprietary in nature, I am having a difficult time finding an additional higher capacity cartridge. However, I have found where I can get additional cartridges of the same size. I would of liked it if Double Eagle, would have made it more "MT" compliant or compliant to a standard to make it easier to get replacement or upgraded parts for it. ONE HAD TO UNDERSTAND THAT THIS IS AN INEXPENSIVE, BEGINNER, STARTER RIFLE. KEEP IT IN THAT CONTEXT. I have read a few, really stupid reviews, from some whose self-esteem is obviously very low, so they have a need to show off, by criticizing the gun, by comparing it to AirSoft guns that are in the upper mid-range, high range. Those who will say that it is junk or expect, expensive, metal parts, etc on it, should not make comments here. Compare "apples to apples". If one wants more expensive, metal parts, etc, need to go to a much more expensive, gun that is made for a total different market. I would not hesitate to recommend this Air Soft gun as a first gun, or a gun to have as a spare to play in the yard with, etc. Actually, for me, this is the best beginner gun I have seen. There are so many parts on it, like there would be on an expensive gun (but not the same quality), that a beginner, could have a total blast, with what you can do with it. But, those selfish morons, are putting the entire Air Soft industry in jeopardy as well as creating the potential for someone to get shot by a law enforcement officer, who will have NO way of knowing if the gun is real or not. Where I live in Colorado, because of some idiots, who have covered up the orange tip, the police, who used to ignore the Air soft guns, are now on call to take calls made by others, who complain about the use of Air Soft guns in my town of 400,000 people. There was a 16 year old, who came close to having a policeman fire a real bullet from his gun at him, because the orange tip was covered up/removed and the policeman, would not be able to tell if the gun was real or not and he didn't follow the policeman's instructions, as he should have. The teen, didn't think of the Air Soft gun, as a dangerous weapon, so reacted badly to the police commands and the policeman didn't know if this teen was putting the lives of others in danger. A few of us, in the community, who have fun with Air Soft guns, are now encouraging, putting decals on them, painting them to look more fun for them. The stuff that comes with it works really well except the flashlight, which I threw away. FPS is pretty good and the clip is surprisingly low.
