The Canon Rebel is almost perfect. It's easy to use, and it's versatile. I went from a 35mm to a digital SLR, which is a huge change. I purchased the kit, so it came with 2 lenses, an 8gb memory card, batteries, case, etc. - VERY good deal. I'm having so much fun taking pictures and "experimenting" with my new camera, however, I hardly know the first thing about using it. I'm just learning a lot by reading the manual and playing around with it, so, if anyone has any "tips", feel free to let me know. I was going back and forth between a Nikon vs Canon. One of the reasons I decided on the Canon was because of the "live view" option. I am a little disappointed, however, that when in the live view mode, you cannot look thru the eyepiece at the same time. Maybe this is normal? (I still love my camera, tho.)
