This is exactly what I ordered, a solid knife that will last me for years. I'm very happy with the knife and the price I got the knife for, if you're looking for a knife this is a good one.

I carry a knife at work on my tugboat every day. I have been doing so for about 12 years now. I've had better knives and also had to make due with bargain knives from time to time. This is a very happy medium. I used to worry about damaging my Benchmade, and I've drooled over some hand made knives but I know that I'll either break them or lose them before too long. On the other hand, cheap knives can't be trusted when you really need them.
I bought this model in a shop in New Orleans for about $55 and liked it so much I decided to pick up another one (for $20 less on Amazon). My only complaint is that it loses it's edge rather quickly with regular use. But if you have even a cheap hand sharpener, and use it, the knife very easily will take a razor sharp edge.
It's not too fancy, but it's nice to use, comfortable in the hand, and a great bargain.

I was a little worried about the weight of this knife, but as soon as I recieved it my fears were laid to rest. The numbers are misleading. The knife is very thin and positions very well on your pocket. Being able to change the location of the clip is very nice also. This knife has quickly become my favorite edc knife but is large enough for emergency tactical use also. At this price or even much more you will be hard pressed to find better.

This knife is much like most of the other Spyderco products: Well-thought-out designs that are executed with a focus on quality. The difference? It's inexpensive since it is made in China.
The size is just right for carry in the pocket for better concealment, or using the clip which can be re-located to either side in a tip-up or tip-down configuration. (requires a tool not included)
The weight is very nice in that it is very easy to carry but doesn't feel cheap. The metal frame is skeletonized and covered with lightweight G10 scales which afford great grip and durability.
This knife comes from the factory very sharp (arm-hair-shave-sharp). With a couple of minutes on the tri-stone it became 'scary-sharp' being able to easily thin a sheet of paper.
The only down-sides I can come up with this knife is not 'buying American' per se and that it was not available at any local dealers in a major metro area to view before purchase. As others have stated, this knife is an awesome buy at ~$30-35. It would even be a good buy at $50 in my opinion.
