Since I work downtown in a meduim-sized midwestern city, hiding my electronic gear before leaving the car is a priority. Removing a suction cup every day is hard and still leaves the telltale "break into me" ring on your window. This dashboard mount has been great. The triangular shape helps it conform to the dash. I fits both my TomTom XL and Siruis Starmate with no problems. I've never had either device jump or fall of the dash. If your suction mount is too low (I'm guessing less than 3/4" clearance) you'll have trouble with installation. Also, if your dash is extremely sloped, you might need to push the mount back occasionally.

Great Product, it stays in place very well, but the dash needs to be clean. It will not stay in place very well if the dash is dirty and dusty.

The arm of the TomTom 720 suction mount is too short. It is not giving a sufficient angle. To stay in place, the screen has to be facing upward. A part from this major inconvenience, the Navgear stays perfectly in place on the car's dashboard.

This very well made and nicely heavy mount for my GPS has been perfect. The suction cup has held onto the mounting plate for weeks without fail. The beanbag type mount fits anywhere on any of my vehicle dashes, thanks to the three ears which can be positioned to fit hills and valley of the dash. It does not slide around, and can be placed out of sight instantly when parking - with no telltake ring on the windshield, like the normal mount. The material is very heavy duty and the stitching very strong and neat. If I were to make one, it would be exactly like this one.

This item is as good, if not better, than any you could buy at any store.
