I'm a skeptic when it comes to stuff like this. If there was some kind of magic pill that helps make us thinner, we'd all be size 0 and worrying about something else obsessively. However I'm also a type-2 diabetic who is currently without insurance (and just try getting any as a diabetic!) and whose primary generic meds aren't working as efficiently as they should be anymore. Short of a pricey doctor visit, even pricier tests and outrageously pricey meds, what's a girl to do if diet and exercise isn't doing the trick either?
Carb Blockers? Sez I. And read the reviews here and on other sites where other diabetics say they work. Well okay, I can afford the price (shop around is all I'm sayin' here) and last night, on girls' night where we normally do have dessert, I indulged after taking one of the pills.
I specifically want to talk to the type-2s out there. You may have noticed that your morning fasting readings are higher than they should be. For some of us that's really quite normal. Mine usually were hovering in the mid to high 130s and as it didn't seem to be doing me any harm, I didn't worry about it. But lately they've been pushing the 200 mark and that's bad. Even if they go back down again after I've been up and have had breakfast, it's still bad. Well this morning the fasting reading was 158. You diabetics will get why this was such a wonderful moment, and why, at this point anyway, the only thing I can point to is the action of these pills, and/or the tea mix sticks which came with the pills as a bonus.
So what I'm saying here is that it's hardly scientific, but I am offering anecdotal evidence that for type-2 diabetics this stuff might be a big help. Not a cure-all by any stretch, or a free pass to gorge on simple carbs, or a replacement for medical attention, but just maybe something to help you live a slightly more normal life. And until big pharma can cure insulin-resistant diabetes (which I doubt they will any time soon because the market for drugs that keep it a chronic illness is far too profitable) we have to find ways to make our lives easier and yes, more normal. And the bottom line for me is that not only are the numbers down in a significant way, but after feeling like warmed-over cr*p all week, I woke up today feeling really terrific.
Do be sure to try the tea mix, too. If nothing else it's a potent diuretic.

I have ordered a lot of these in the past for $19.76 cents for a pack of 4 not they're over $27.00. This is not a deal anymore...although the product works.
