Got a deal on two-pack of these for about the same price listed on Amazon so I figured I couldn't pass it up for a pair of cheapos.
Good - The noise reduction is pretty good, for a pair of earbuds it is impressive. I would put it about 3/4 as much my Hearos earplugs which is very good considering these also incorporate speakers. The addition of extra rubber plugs is always a nice touch when one pair gets dirty and nasty. They come with a drawstringed carrying sack (feels like microfiber?) which keeps things together.
Now the iffy - sound quality! For the price, just be honest...these aren't a high quality set of earbuds. They are the wear-at-work-in-a-factory or a workout-at-the-gym pair rather than a high end audiophile quality earbud. They get the job done and thats about as far as you can go with the sound quality. After some EQing you can get them to sound fairly acceptable. Mid to high Midranges seemed very pronounced, if not a bit "tinny". Bass is there, but its muddy and sloppy. High end is okay past about 12-13khz (below is the aforementioned mid-high midranges). Also the wire clip included doesn't stay on the wire too well.
To answer common questions: These do NOT need a battery to operate the volume control, it is push button but no battery in the little controller.
These are not noise canceling, they are noise ISOLATING--meaning they plug your ears from all outside noise. Noise canceling headphones generate silent waves (from a power source like a battery) that are out of phase with outside noises, therefore canceling them out. These buds do not do that...a pair of canceling phones/buds are MUCH more expensive and high end.
Overall its a cheap pair of earbuds. Don't expect too much out of them, but they do serve their purpose. This is probably the most fitting 3/5 stars I've ever given (if that means anything).

I bought two pairs of these. I was excited at first because they where noise canceling and they had removeable ends. I got them and immediately plugged them into my iTouch. They sounded HORRIBLE. I thought maybe it was the just because it was the iTouch....I checked the EQ and saw that it was set what it was always set at. I changed it to see if I could hear a difference and I couldn't. I then plugged them in to my PC and they sounded just as bad. I gave them to my son to try on his Cellphone....he plugged them in, played a song and shook his head and said "uh, no, they sound like crap". I immediately put them inthe supplied bag and will be giving them to my Dad because he only listens to sports or news on the radio. The tone I was getting was like I strapped to transsitor radios to my ears.....no BASS, no Bottom end......I mean NONE....not a little....ZERO, NILL, ZILCH, NADA. I have a $2.99 set of earbuds and they sounded AMAZING compared to these. I am glad I didn't pay a lot for these. Don't get me wrong, they probably have there place in this world....just not in my ears!

Extremely disappointed with the quality. I was expecting good noise cancellation from buds that are MADE for that purpose. I had to MAX out the volume on the buds controller and then take my computer system volume about half-way up to be able to hear much. The audio is tinny sounding and there is NO base what so ever. I can't imagine these would eliminate ANY noise while riding my Honda Shadow considering I can hear co-workers talking in the next cube over.
VERY disappointed, glad they only cost me $[...] otherwise I'd be really ticked off! Time to replace my Skull Candy's with new Skull Candy ear buds, those rock!

I am thrilled with the Blockade Noise Isolating Earbuds. They do a spectacular job isolating the noise away. As others have mentioned, it is key to sink the earbuds far enough into your ear canal. Don't be shy, pull up on the top of your ear and push that sucker in there. If you are just looking for mild noise blockage, then you don't have to sink them as far, however for maximum noise isolation, you have to get them in there securly. I love to use them in my shop when I am running my air compressor, grinders, saws, and other noisy equipment. I can still hear my music, plus I'm protecting my hearing. I even hook up an FM transmitter to my stereo/dvd-player and plug my earbuds into a portable FM radio that's in my pocket. That let's me watch and listen to a movie while I move around in the extreamly noisy shop. It's awesome! The only problem I have had is that I have only used my set a half-dozen times and the last time I went to use them they worked for a minute, but when I adjusted the volume all the way down using the in-line volume control (which is very handy, by the way) the volume went to zero and then wouldn't come back up. I tried everything I could think of, and the technical support line indicated that I had already tried everything that they would suggest and agreed that the earbuds were in need of repair or replacement. They directed me to their website which contained the information I needed to package the earbuds up and ship them back for repair/replacement. It's unfortunate that I have to deal with a repair so early on in their life, however I suspect that they were just a bum set and this freak incident is NOT representative of the quality of the product overall. So long as my replacement set doesn't die on me after a half-dozen uses, I will still be a huge fan of the product.
