Mediabridge component video cables with left and right stereo audio are ideally suited for connecting video components with video resolutions of 1080i or less as well as stereo audio, Cable TV Converter Boxes, DVR's, DVD Players, Televisions, and Projectors. Mediabridge utilizes a molded design in order to provide a compact design. Jacket is soft and flexible PVC, encased in a high-grade durable nylon sleeve. Connectors are gold plated for ultimate conductivity. The fourth and fifth cables are used to connect left and right stereo audio.

Cables worth perfectly. Very crisp picture on the TV, and the best quality sound you can expect with component cables. I really like the mesh jacket design, it creates a more compact bundle than your "traditional" large flat cable.
The price cannot be beat and it is a high quality product. The quality is not HDMI, but component cables are not meant to.
Before you buy, just make sure you need the 5 plug component cables, . . .

No problems with the order and shipping. I hope MediaBridge will work with the manufacturer to make some slight adjustments to the layout of the wires. One end of the audio wires is a bit too short to reach the ports of the DVD player, just barely makes it into the port. On the DVD player, all the wires are crossed because the audio wires, red & white are to the left of the component ports. The layout of the audio red & white cables are on the far end of the cable. And even on the component ports, the red wire is on the top, but on the DVD, the red video port is to the left, causing the wire to have to cross over the green & blue wires. The audio wires just fit into the port with little leeway. They need to make these two audio wires longer. Not a deal breaker but shows you they didn't put much thought into the design and layout of the wires. If they did that, the product would be much better.
As far as the performance of the cables, I don't notice much difference between these component cables & the old composite cables I had previously. The performance of the cables is OK, nothing spectacular to speak about. The positive thing about the cables is that it is bundled together with no tangling of the five wires and it is soft not stiff like some of the other wires. The down side is the crossing of the wires on my DVD.
It would be nice if MediaBridge had this 5-RCA cable with the premium cables. They only had the video 3-RCA premium cable. If you are concerned with performance, I'd get the premium cables. If you are not concerned with performance, this set of cables is functional, ok but not spectacular.

The old DVD player in my daughter's room did not have an HDMI output, so this was just the ticket to connect it to her new HDTV. (And 1/3 the price of the "big box" stores.) Also, having the cables bound together gives it the same aesthetics (and lack of tangles) as a single HDMI cable. Great purchase!

This cable is all you'll need. No need for high priced name brands. This cable does the job. Plus its braided and not molded so it'll fit entertainment centers with smaller holes.

I needed a cable to connect my DVD player to a new HDTV. The DVD player had component outputs but no HDMI output. A standard component video cable is too wide to conceal in a cord channel plus adding an audio cable adds still more bulk. This cable is the perfect solution! Fit great in Cordmate II kit bought with it.
