The battery runs well. I used it as a spare one for backup. The price (from retail stores) dropped from $90 to $60 in the past 6 months, but still a bit expensive. Hope it can last longer than any other Canon batteries. In general, it is a excellent product.

A great battery so far, but we need to see how long it lasts. It would have to last for 10 years to justify the price, however. Overpriced like all Canon batteries, and even more so!

Obviously this works nicely as a battery, but what is so interesting about it is the reporting that the battery makes through the camera. It's easy enough to implement, but a really nice professional touch that it is done. Not just the battery level, but also the number of shutter actuations since the battery was installed. Makes it easy to keep track of battery life and images shot. With a pair of batteries (grip) one can get about 3000 (!!!) RAW shots before the batteries are down to the point where you'd like to charge them. Not to empty!

Great price compared to Canon's price for the same battery. The great thing is that the battery was shipped Priority mail via the USPS, and normally I loathe shipping by them but this shipment came in a couple of days, rather than the 5-7 etc of normal ground shipping

I bought an extra battery for my new 7D because I bought a battery grip but I may have thought more about it since the grip can use AA batteries. If I bought some rechargeable batteries I would have saved alot of money.
