My son has never been a pacifier baby. I was hopeful for this item as he is getting his molars in. He looses interest in it quickly and when he does use it, it's not how it is intended to be used. He eats the lip or one of the nubbies. I think kids who use a pacifier will like it though. It seemed like it would work well.

I thought this would be the greatest teether for my son who is a total pacifier addict, but sadly he just has no interest in it! I keep offering it as an option for those stubborn back teeth, but he just throws it aside. I think it is a great option to try though if your child is in need of a teether for back teeth. Give it a try! Even though it didn't work for us, doesn't mean it won't work for you.

My daughter's mouth would not open wide enough for her to get this in back. As a result, it did not offer her much relief. But I like the concept.

My son (10 months) likes this teether. I bought it because he's always chomping on his pacifiers and using them to teethe. It took a lot of getting used to, because he tried sucking it like a real pacifier at first. He's starting to figure it out though. It's soft and pliable so there is some give when it's bitten. It seems to make my son feel better. He's also been using it for the side teeth as well. I would recommend this teether if your looking for something to soothe the teeth farther back.

I am afraid to let the baby chew on this as it is made of FDA approved Santoprene.
Well that's great and all but didn't the FDA approve baby formula and other such items that were found to contain melamine?! And I searched for santoprene and it's apparently made by ExxonMobil Chemical co.!! So I am going to guess that it has petroleum products in it. I am not going to let my baby chew on this since I am not too sure the FDA isn't "in bed" with Exxon. It is the perfect size and shape too! If only they would have a non-toxic (no BPA, pthalates etc) version of this same design!
