These are definately good headphones but they are not worth the money. i dont understand where they justifiy their price, they are high quality but nothing to get to excited about. I cant tell the difference between these and my sony in ears or high quality skull candy.

I personally enjoyed these headphones. I bought them for $75 and after using them for about two weeks, they became my favorite headphones. I usually buy cheap $10 headphones, so putting out an extra $65 for these was a stretch for me. They're not as loud as my old Sony ones, but I hear different beats that I never heard on the other ones. So the sound quality is definitely great but the price is a little to steep for me. I feel like I probably could have gotten better ones for this price, or a little more.
Overall, recommended if you don't feel like coughing up $100 or more for the real high quality headphones.

Bought these as an extra pair. Very clear sound, I hear things I never heard before on some songs. Bass is not very strong, though. You'll need to use your mixer to boost it. These do not block out extraneous sounds (like when you're at the gym) as well as my more expensive Ultimate Ears Super Fi 3. But for the price, these are very good when outside sound and loud bass are not issues.

I've had these guys for about a month now and I am using them as my primary headphones. I'd like to think I'm an audiophile, but I definitely don't understand sound like some of the others here on Amazon writing reviews. I do know however, what great sound quality sounds like. I also own a pair of Shure SE430s ($400) as my use-at-home phones, as well as the older E4Cs ($300) which were stolen. I can't say that these are on the same level as the Shures, but I can say that they are about 70% of the quality at about 15% of the price; GREAT value. I also own the Apple In-Ear headphones (the new ones), and can honestly say that these blow the Apple phones out of the water.
These earphones' bass is exceptional. Lows come out of these things smoothly and cleanly. There is never any distortion of the bass. I love listening to songs like "Boom Boom Pow", "Get Buck In Here", any Kanye song, and even a song like "Sway" sounds exceptional with the warm bass that come out of these things. I would even go out on the limb to say that the bass on the Ultimate Ears MetroFi 220s sounds better and cleaner than my Shures ever did.
Mids are also really great. Vocals come out clean and crisp. John Mayer and Tom Petty songs sound wonderful.
I think the only place that the 220's could use a little work is on the highs. While the highs don't sound bad, they're not as clean and smooth as the lows and mids. The highs sometime sound bright and sometimes just *ever so slightly* distorted. You really can't hear the distortion unless you are *really* looking for it.
I use these earphones a lot at work. Another thing I really like about them is that they don't completely isolate the ambient noise. This is great because I can hear my co-workers when they are talking to me. Also, when they are in my ears, people around me can't hear me even when my iPhone/iPod are turned up all the way.
Overall, for me to compare these to my Shures really says something. These phones are a great value and I really enjoy them as my "commuter headphones". If these had a microphone, I think they would be in my ears from morning to evening!!! I highly recommend them for anyone looking for headphones in this price range.

These headphones sound so great. I have purchased different headphones to earphones from $5 to $200. So far these sound the best. They produce awesome bass, highs and lows. For the price, you get a lot of bang for your buck. These sound even better if you have higher bit rate music. I have most of my music at either 192kbps or 320kbps. The higher the bit rate the better the music will sound. Music and headphones are like chains. A chain is as strong as your weakest link. That's how it is with music as well. If you have really expensive cool headphones or earphones and your music is at 128kbps, then your music is gonna sound really crappy on those nice, expensive headphones. I love when I see a bad review on great headphones and if they had listened to the headphones or earphones on high bit rate music then they will really appreciate how great they sound. What is great is that the right earphone is colored red. Usually the earphones are marked with L or R to see on which ear they go. Just by looking at the red earphone you know it is for your right ear. The cable is also pretty thick and seems like it is heavy duty. The case is also very convenient. Just roll them up and store them in the case and throw them in the bag without the earphones getting tangled with all your other stuff in the bag. Overall, great headphones.
