This is seems to be the only complete Ubuntu-Kubuntu Linux set suitable for a beginner. The included reference material is helpful and accurate, the video introduction is very helpful for first time Linux users as it provides information on most important commands. There are explanations for a number of features I wasn't sure about. Linux distributions are all built from the similar collection of components. The open source world offers lots of choice and the mix of components in any particular distribution will defer. Individual distributions pick from these similar components and combine them to create a more comprehensive set of tools which they then further refine to operate as a total set of computing tools. Ubuntu is often called "Linux for non-geeks", I wanted to get into more advanced topics with the command line and have better control over my Ubuntu machine and the video and reference card definitely help!
Yes, I absolutely would recommend it to a friend.

There is absolutely no value to this product. You can download and burn the Ubuntu and Kubuntu installation disks for free from the Ubuntu website. The disks that come with this aren't even bootable. The "Introduction to Linux" video is a bad joke. Most of the time is spent explaining why GUIs are bad while a static image of an ad for their training course is on the screen. Terrible. Shameful.

I am new in the Linux world, so my friend advised me to get started with the Ubuntu or Kubuntu. After couple of hours of browsing Amazon and reading descriptions and reviews I decided to buy this package. Video introduction was really helpful for me, and CD with the library has a lot of information. I think I spent my money for the excellent product.

It is great set of superb Linux distros. This set is as good as Linux itself and inclusion of the library makes it even better. In also includes brief introduction video DVD. If you never touched Linux before it will help you with first commands and explain some basics. I'm very happy with it. I have two computers, one newer and one older but both are considered "old" as by today's standards. If you are a happy owner of nice 64 bit computer this version will serve you better Linux Jazz, 4DVDs + CD set, 64-bit Version. When economy will get better I'll buy 64 bit for myself ;). I liked the selection and all versions included are terrific. I must admit I spend much time with it, digging into various options. Cool!
