Living around the Atlanta GA area I have never ever seen this thing work. It is always "Acquiring signal" 100% of the time. I have been around the perimeter, I have been downtown interstate connector sitting in traffic, I have driven on the "local" downtown streets and I have never seen this ever acquire a signal. Unfortunately, I did not pay for this item, however it was given to me as a gift, so a friend did spend the money on it. Now, I have never used it outside of Atlanta due to my job not allowing me to travel much since I got it, so I can't say much about other cities. Based on my experience this would receive negative or zero stars if it was possible since I have not seen it work once. Rating: - waste of money this product is a waste of money link only works half of the time the rest gps says searching for satellite its better to just use the detour option Rating: - gps I graduated from a Navigon 7100 to this larger clearer screen thia unit is easier to use Rating: - Magellan TrafficLink - Okay This item does do what it is supposed to do, but I don't like the functionality between the adapter and the GPS unit. If there is a traffic alert for slow traffic and you view it, it doesn't clear, so you do not know if there is a new alert ahead besides the slow traffic. It would be more useful if the screen would flash or there was a verbal alert about any accidents or things like that (real traffic problems). It also does cause the GPS unit to become slower when turning on, acquiring signal, losing signals, etc. Rating: - Magellan Traffic Link This traffic link works well. As with all traffic links, they pick up coupon advertisments which become annoying. I do recommend this item for traffic updates, but remember it only works in areas where fm traffic information is being broadcasted (normally close to major cities). see more
