I bought two of these. One for my Macbook Pro and one for a Mac Mini (both late 2009).
It is very, very simple to use. It is a nice touch for those Mac users who wish Apple would implement HDMI. Video quality is good. It's nice to have for Netflix and other video application.
Note as other users have said, sound will not be carried through this cable.

This adapter works just as good as my friends apple version. Difference is he paid an extra 15 or 20 bucks!!! Be aware that this cord will not transmit sound though. This is not the adapters fault but Apples fault for not giving the MacBook this capability. Bottom line, works as advertised and the price is right.

Awesome product, it works. Don't forget the Macbook Pro does not pass sound through the mini displayport.

I am using this on a Mac Mini. Does the job for video, but I had to put a book over the wire as after a few hours of pain debugging my wireless signal, I found that the cable disrupts my WiFi to the Mini. It seems the other reviews are with Macbooks. The Macbook WiFi antennas must not be as close to the adapter location.

Works flawlessly right out of the box. No setup necessary - just plug it in. Using this to mirror my iMac display on a Samsung LCD and the picture is incredible.
