I purchased this camera for $45.99 for my daughter's 3rd birthday after reading and experiencing several horror stories about "kid's" cameras.
It totally fits the bill. The batteries last, the review setting allows my daughter to navigate through her pictures she has taken (did I mention she is three?), and the real dealmaker is that I can upload her pictures to my Mac, which I could not do with any of the crappy software that comes with the "kid's" models. I am also pleased to find a camera not affiliated with Disney crossmarketing.
It works well and she loves it.

I purchased this as a second camera, for times when our primary camera is being used elsewhere. I wasn't looking for any bells and whistles, just very simple snapshots; and my expectations were low, given the amount of money I wanted to spend.
After reading the online manual and trying dozens of test shots using the limited settings, I can honestly say I didn't get one decent photo. No shots were in good focus, distance shots with the zoom as well as close-ups were almost unidentifiable, outdoor shots were overexposed, color was inconsistent. One landscape picture I took was almost acceptable--but there's a blue halo along the left side of the photo and a purple one on the right.
I'm returning the camera for a refund.
