Editorial Review:
Album Description: Millions will rejoice this holiday season with the much-anticipated release of Andrea Bocelli's My Christmas. The first-ever Christmas recording from Andrea is a heart-warming collection of seasonal favorites produced by the legendary David Foster. The lush, beautiful arrangements alongside Bocelli's unmistakable soaring vocals make this a must-have holiday recording. Highlights include "White Christmas," "Oh Holy Night," "Santa Claus is Coming to Town," "Jingle Bells," "Silent Night," "The Christmas Song," and "What Child Is This" among others. My Christmas will also be a major component of a PBS Great Performances special to air on Public Television this December, featuring Andrea and David Foster with additional special guests.

I like christmas music, and I also like alot of different types of music myself. I have gotten Steven Curtis Chapman, BeBe & CeCe, Joshua Redman all lately. I have never gotten a cd by Andrea Bocelli and now I wonder what I have been missing. This is a great complelaton of christmas songs, most pretty traditional but beautuful to say the least. The tone of his voice and the range is so beauiful. This is be playing in my cd player long after christmas is over, and I hope Santa puts a few more of his cds under my tree.

I am not the biggest Bocelli fan in the world, but this album is playful, lovely, and wonderful! I am a HUGE fan of the "Blue Christmas" duet with Reba!

The good portions of this CD are more than good, they are GREAT! The lush arrangements of White Christmas and others beautifully accompany the Italian's beautiful voice. One surprise for me was the Mormon Choir's backing of Bocelli on "The Lord's Prayer". I've never liked that song very much, but together they have created a musical masterpiece with this recording.
My biggest disappointment with the CD are the duets. I love Bocelli's playful tone with the children and the Muppets, but the duets with Reba and Mary J Blige do NOT work for me at all. Reba's voice sounds SO harsh next to Bocelli's that their version of "Blue Christmas" left me feeling very depressed indeed. Mary J's addition to "What Child is This" is just raspy and wrong. That song should be a tender moment of adoration and the R & B wailings of Miss Blige ruin it for me.
I will be playing this CD all season long, with several programmed skips.

This is lovely. Apparently Andrea's English is "well enough" that David Foster allowed him to sing traditional Christmas music in English as well as Italian, and one French piece, "Cantique de Noel."

My husband and I have been fans of Andrea Bocelli for more than 12 years. We absolutely adore his voice. This album has been long anticipated in our home, for years we have felt a void in our Christmas collection without Boccelli. The album is lovely. My only complaint is the English. Andrea Bocelli's voice is so pure, so beautiful, I don't understand why he gives in to the pressures to commercialize his voice and sing selections in English. I would williningly sacrifice my comprehension of the words in order to hear the flawless beauty of Bocelli's voice in Italian or Spanish.
