I bought this replica without much hope of it being perfect because i was planning on upgrading most of it. When i first shot with it i was surprised to see it was accurate. I could hit my 3 X 3 targets outdoors up to 100 feet 10/10 shots, using the scope without compensation using .25 gram BBs. Next I moved to 125 resulting in 8/10. Then I moved to 150 feet and I got again 8/10. I said to myself, "this isn't happening" so i kept shooting for about 2 or 3 hundred rounds and it didn't deviate much. Average at 150 feet was about 8/10 shots with scope set in crosshairs. This is quite impressive for this cheap gun. The distance accheived by this gun is in excess of 200 feet easily, although accuracy drops to about 5.5/10 using scope only, when you compensate for the effect of wind and curving of the rounds i was able to get 8/10 accuracy.
One very important detail to know about this gun is that the results posted above where obtained with the Hop-Up fully turned "down" or "off". There is always some hop-up but you do not want any more because it works too exagerately. You dial in a little hop and the BBs curve like crazy. This curving I bet you will notice it is always in the same direction. Well I fixed this without having to buy a new hop-up chamber. All you need to do is dissasemble your replica, REMEMBER TO GET A VERY SMALL HEX KEY FOR THAT LITTLE SCREW THAT HOLDS THE BARREL OR ELSE YOU RUIN YOUR RIFLE FORCING IT TO UNSCREW.
When you unscrew the barrel you will notice the screw that holds the hop-up to the barrel is not in the middle, it should be more to one side than the other, IF your rifle curves the BBs. Now all you do is very carefully and lots of patience, draw a midline with a pencil, align where your screw is going to be set and tighten it in alignment. Next you screw in your barrel and again make sure that the barrels midline is also lined up so you dont cause curving effect by the barrel misalignment from central axis. This worked for me and now i dont see BBs curve except at extreme ranges of 200 feet and 250 feet, but the curvings are very predictable and are easily compensated and consistent, with .25 gram. I bet heavier BBs will increase acuracy. The Hop-up I use it off or turn 1/8 to a max of 1/4 turn to get to more than 200 feet mark but the BBs seem to float and any wind will curve it. Expensive hop ups have two adjustment screws so you compensate for the misalignment, so being a bit careful and aligning it perfectly MAY safe you near $100. That it worked for me does not mean it works for everyone, but its worth a try to save some money.
By the way, I recomend this gun because of high quality and excellent upgrade potential. Fully compatible with maruzen L96.

This is a great sniper rifle. The sighting and adjusting of the scope (sold separately) and adjusting the underneath spot (forget name) are essential to getting accurate sighting and a straight shot, however once done it shoots good a straight.

Ok thats a lie, three weeks ago i bought this gem of a rifle, i expected a lump of cheap plastic and crap metal, after purchsing numerous rifles and smg, i thought it would suck. i was VERY wrong it came in and instantly something was differnt, the shear weight and the easy to read manual. Weighing in at well over 10 lbs and full scale size, not to sound like a girl, nearly cried. But enough talk, about the gun, the build is strong, made out of high qualtiy plastic maybe abs. the barrel full metal it was a heavy duty spring and best of the cocking mechinism works just like a real bolt action rifle. the stock adjustments are fine and adaqute. the hop up is extermly powerful dont touch it. The bipod sucks alittle it wobles alot. it works like a dream. the first time i took it out, without a scope i scored lots of hits at over 30 yrds with .20bbs, do not use .12bbs ull likey destory the bolt kit, i reccommened .25s or greater. when i bought the scope, i greatly recommend the 4X40 scope (see for later review) after its zeroed in point, shoot, one less foe on the field. The bottom line folks it does what it says it does high power with awsome accurcy. i cant really find any flaws is this rifle if ur a sniper then this was made for you. since amazon only give five stars i give ten.

this gun is a whole lot of fun to shoot and deadly accurate, but to get that accuracy ur probably gonna want a 4x32 or 3-9x40 scope.
mine came with two 23rnd mags a customized speedloader and the dissasembled gun and bipod.
the gun is very easy to assemble should only take you 30seconds.
i would say this gun is accurate from 150-200ft but can touch a guy at 300ft.
the weight of the gun which is about 9 pounds makes it extremely realistic.
the only con i can think of is that the hop-up is hard to get to which is in the mag well, but ur probably only going to adjust it once or twice.
this gun is without doubt a 5 star gun.

I bought this as my first airsoft rifle. I did not want to get fancy or expensive, but still wanted an accurate and reliable weapon. UTG makes good rifles, and other AEG's, but I cannot comment on that. This was both relatively within my budget and very good quality. I bought the rifle used with no upgrades, took it out of the box, slapped on a scope, and then went to town shooting just about every tree in my friend's backyard. I tell you, THIS GUN IS AWESOME, PURE AWESOME. After zeroing my scope, I was able to hit a standard plastic water bottle from about 25-30 yards every time. I unfortunately did not have more space to try a longer distance (sorry I know that 30 yards is not exactly sniping, but it looks promising). I took my friend about 30-40 shots with his AEG to hit the bottle ONCE. I am quite impressed with this gun. Although heavy, it comes with a bipod, two clips, a speedloader, a sling (got my own though), and a scope (depending on where you buy). I used my own scope and sling simply because of prefrence. Shoots at 450+ fps with 0.2g BB's, but I use 0.25g for much better accuracy. The hopup I turned off because at 30 yards the BB's actually curve up too much, but whatever. Overall, this gun impressed me greatly I recommend it for all beginning snipers. I could not ask for a better deal!
