Abbot's Cliff Park

Abbot's Cliff Park is not far from where we live in Flatts. In fact we can see the cliff from our balcony (and in the photo at the top of this page). It appears like big green area at the top of a cliff, with no houses. The park has a short hiking trail that takes you from a residential street, by some small farm fields and banana patches, through a forest, and up and out onto the top of the cliff. From the top of Abbot's Cliff, the view is almost the reverse of the view from our apartment. Both vantage points are very high up, but from the cliff the view is towards the south. And if you squint, you can even see out apartment towards the west. The cliff is very high and quite steep, no easy way to climb down to Harrington Sound below, although the turquoise waters below are very inviting.
