Ferry Reach Park

Another interesting park that many people never see is Ferry Reach Park. It is quite large as far as Bermuda parks go, you can hike for several kilometers along the North Shore. The Bermuda railway Trail goes through the park. There is even an old railway station built by a man who built his very own mini-railway that connected up with the Bermuda railway line. At the end of the peninsula, there is Whalebone Beach and 3 forts to explore. As it was getting dark, we only had time to check the Martello Tower, and will have to return to visit the other two. To south from the tip of Ferry Reach Park, you can see the Ferry Reach channel and the airport. Due to the proximity of the airport, planes tend to fly over the park as they land or take off.

Martin:

Thanks very much for your postings. They've helped me peg down a few spots I want to visit when I'm in Bermuda sight-seeing.

Some are very close, since I'll be staying in Hamilton Parish.
