Still very far away, but on the current track, Category 4 Hurricane Igor will make direct hit here in Bermuda early Sunday morning. But a lot can can change between now and then, as we have seen with past hurricanes this year, which have all ended up missing us by large margins. If Hurricane Igor does arrive in Bermuda, it is expected to be a Category 3 hurricane at that time, which is still plenty breezy.

Hello, we have plans for our first trip to Bermuda, next thurs. As you can expect we are anxiously watching Hurrican Igor. Our first thoughts are with the islanders, but can you tell us where we can find a reliable source to determine if we shoudl postpone our trip until next spring. We have been warned that hotel owners will pronounce that all is well and then upon arrival, guests will find out that there is no electricity, running water, etc. Any assistance would be helpful. Thank you and I enjoy your blog. Susan
