Today we went to look at an apartment on the North Shore, very close to the airport. The drive along the North Shore was very nice. The house was at the top of a steep hill with some beautiful views:
On the way back we stopped for some gas, only to find a few a few chickens at the gas station.
As we continued on our way we stopped for a while at the beach at Shellys Bay on the North Shore. Later we stopped for a swim at Admiralty House Park.
Later, after going home for some lunch, we went to Deep Bay for a swim. The beach, which only exists at low tide, is at the bottom of a very high cliff. To get to it, you have to walk down a long staircase that has been cut into the rock. Very warm water there.

Wow, those are some really beautiful shots. What kind of camera do you have?

I'm so glad that you posted your pictures of Deep Bay on the internet! My father was stationed on Bermuda back in the early sixties and friends and I went to swim there frequently. I loved it! The last time i saw it, it was full of debris and some thick oily black substance, and it broke my heart. So it was wonderful to see a picture of it restored to it's pristine beauty.

Hi Jessica, these photos were taken with a Casio Exilim S3.
Some photos on this site were taken with my wife's Canon Digital Rebel XT, which is a much better camera. ;)

Similar to Louise's story, my father was stationed in Bermuda in the late fifties and we lived a few blocks away from Deep Bay. My memories of Deep Bay when I was a boy between 5-8 years old are magical. Many times I had the Bay to myself and dived and swam there for hours on end. Back then, tourist boats would come to the Bay and I would join the native boys and dive for the large English pennies they would throw at us. Also, my father and I would walk to the end of the point that is shown in the picture with the boat and fish. If I was to idenfity one moment in my life that influenced my entire outlook on living, it was this place. Thanks so very much for posting these pictures and having them trigger these wonderful warm memories. What a wonderful gift!!!
