does any one know the exact position on the strip where the club 77 sunset strip was meant to have been

I cannot help with the exact location but have a book at home where I may be able to look it up. I was in L.A. in November of 2002 and saw the only part of the 77 Sunset Strip set that is left - the driveway. I believe the building that use to be Dino's is still there but very rundown.

77 Sunset Strip was located at about the 8300 Block of Sunset Blvd. I think at Sweetzer. Today the Tiffany theatre is the building which once was the office for Bailey and Spencer. The driveway is still there. Dino's of course is gone- not sure what is in the building which still stands but is redesigned. The front is all pink and boring looking. The door location- closest to the driveway- is still the orginal from the days of 77. But I think they finally changed the actual door. For years the same door with the same doorhandle from the 50s was still in place. You could imagine that awning with the 77 number in front of it.
