Yay for Kelly
I'm so glad that Kelly won -- or more accurately, I'm glad that Jenn lost. A woman that abrasive would have no place in any organization of mine.
Some defend Jenn by saying that assertive women are often perceived as being obnoxious, whereas such behavior would be applauded in men. Nonsense. Sure, assertive women are often perceived as being bitchy, but that's not what happened here. She was genuinely abrasive and difficult, and I would never hire someone like her.

Well, Kelly won. No surprise there. Jenn did well in the boardroom sessions, but she was just way too abrasive to lead effectively.
Some would say that she only appeared abrasive because she's a woman -- that the same behavior would be lauded as "decisive" or "assertive" in a man. I think that's nonsense. She clearly had poor people skills, regardless of her gender.
Besides, her idea-stealing tactic most certainly was not a case of mere decisiveness or assertiveness. If she had better people skills, she would have known how that move would have come across.

I've been reading Amy Henry's book, and enjoying it. It's easy to see why she's got "What It Takes." I do recommend this piece of work, especially to aspiring female executives.
I look forward to reading Bill Rancic's book soon. After that, maybe I'll give Carolyn's book a try as well.

My favorite character, Raj, is now gone. I'm not entirely surprised, but I am rather disappointed. Despite his shortcomings, he had some strong points to him, such as his inventiveness and his willingness to take responsibility for his failings.
I think he was right to admit that he lacked aggression, though.
Tonight's ep: Holy cow!
Wow. What an ending. Not as shocking as the Bradford episode -- in fact, not shocking at all -- but it was certainly a surprise. Certainly different.
Trump was right to skip the final boardroom session and just fire you-know-who on the spot. That was great.
Man, I love this show.
No extra boardroom footage?
No extra boardroom footage in last night's rerun. What a ripoff!
Or rather, what a disappointment. I know that Trump and Burnett aren't obligated to provide those extra boardroom scenes, but I was kinda looking forward to them.
On an unrelated note, I'd very much like to read Caroline's new book sometime soon. I'm leafing through Amy Henry's book, and it looks pretty good.

I'm enjoying this season. It looks like the caliber of the female contestants is a bit disappointing this time, though. Last year's female contestants started out so strong, and Amy Henry was particularly brilliant.
