Did anyone see the mockery of Jar Jar Binks on Sunday?

last sunday's(8/28/05) Simpsons episode was another flop. I can't get over the fact that the writers are not trying hard enough to come up with funnier material. In a half-hour episode there only is 5 minutes of worthy funny cheap laughs. They need to return the focus to Homer but in the way other episodes played out in early seasons such as 3,4,5,6 even 7. Example "Mr.Plow" which by the way remains one of my favorite episodes ever made was centre on homer's new job as a snow plow person. Anyway, there where laughs in every corner or side of the episode you wont find long pauses or the idea adding some hippie music or rock song as if to say we ran out of material so here is some song from grateful dead or james taylor to fill the gap. Come on? whose idea was this anyway

I just saw a guy on miami vice(the New York episode)who looked alot like Mr. burns it was scary he acted just like him too.
