Carpet Institute

Apart from the name, the Carpet Institute shares a few commonalities with the Papyrus Institute, being both a tourist trap and an essential part of the experience. In addition to selling carpet to tourists, they also teach young egyptians the trade of carpet weaving. Most of the carpets were very nice, and very expensive. While some members of our tour bought carpets, we did not.
