Churchill Suite at Mena House

After "lunch", we returned to the hotel, where we took a nap and then went for a walk around the Mena House hotel. The main section of the hotel is over 100 years old, formerly a hunting lodge. As we explored the various corridors and intricate interior design, one of the hotel workers offered to show us the Winston Churchill Suite. This room was Chruchill's favorite, and he stayed there on more than one ocassion. The suite was huge, over the top, as you might imagine, decorated traditionally with silk pillows and a large terrace overlooking the pyramids. Posted nighly rate: $4,000.
