Leaving JFK for Cairo

We arrived at JFK Airport at around 4pm, with plenty of time before our flight. Since 4pm New York time is equal to 12am Cairo time, November 19th starts now. :-) After checking our bags at the airport, we naturally had to buy the customary duty-free perfume, which killed a lot of time. We then got some food, went through security, and waited for the plane to start boarding. It started boarding very early, without announciung anything over the PA system. We were finally in the air by 7pm NY time.
