Metropolitan Museum of Art

Today we went to "The Met": The Metropolitan Museum of Art. The museum if very large - so you can't not see that much in a few hours. Seeing as we are about to leave for Egypt, we decided to see the Egyptian exhibit. They had numerous sarcofagi, statues, and artifacts from acient Egypt. We then passed through a number of other exhibits briefly as we made our way through the maze of the museum trying to find a place to eat. Eventually we found the cafeteria in the basement where we ate an overpriced lunch. I had the portobello mushroom sandwich and Michelle had a nice salad from the salad bar. Sandy, who came with us to the museum, had a big cookie and a banana. We spent the rest of the time in the gift shop, looking at art posters and other things. Eventiually, we decide on William the Blue Hippo bookmark. (By "we", I mean Michelle, of course).
