I don’t normally spent time following a post like this with anything but, someone sent me an email about it so I feel that I should.
This is a very broad statement here, that if you use Traffic Hurricane your site will get banned.
Lets look it over. There are thousands of people using Traffic Hurricane. I get unsolicited testimonials from people almost every day saying how well their website or websites are doing since using Traffic Hurricane; many, many of which are people who have been using Traffic Hurricane for many, many months.
I have had people email me and say that they were dropped from Google after using Traffic Hurricane. This is true.
So, will Traffic Hurricane get your site banned? I have to say no and hold firm.
I think the more appropriate question here is, can I abuse a software product like Traffic Hurricane and get into trouble. The answer is a definite yes.
The Traffic Hurricane user has the ability to create thousands of pages of similar content that all look the same pointing back to their website. But, why, if this much duplicate content is frowned upon by the search engines would somebody do this? You can also create thousands of pages with links to your website that include little or no content. You can also create thousands of Hurricane pages pointing back to your website that have a bunch of unrelated keywords, content that has nothing to do with your website, RSS feeds that are unrelated and basically do an excellent job of shooting yourself in the foot.
The above is what NOT to do with Traffic Hurricane.
What has to be understood here is that Traffic Hurricane is just a tool. A powerful tool yes, but just a tool, and it can be easily abused. There was a software product recently released which I consider to be a great product for Blogging. Well, within a few days people were abusing it. I received an email from the creator that went like this:
We have just been made aware that Blog Harbor has begun deleting blogs created with our software. Apparently they feel that it is a violation of their terms of service.
They have unilaterally decided to delete all blogs created using the software because some people have been abusing the use of it, and over-posting to their new blog harbor accounts.
So, will Traffic Hurricane get you dropped or banned or blackballed or whatever. I am afraid that I have to say no. Can you get into trouble by misusing it? I have to say definitely yes.
If you are going to use Traffic Hurricane you can do very well when you follow the instructions and manual. There is access to lots of resources for Traffic Hurricane users and an online manual that walks you through the process of creating great pages that will help your website out but it does need to be used and frankly, it’ s really not that hard. The instructions are very plain and simple to read but they do need to be read and followed.
I hope that I made my point here. Use Traffic Hurricane properly, which most people do, and you’ll do well. Abuse it and you can shoot yourself in the foot.
