AdSense Invalid Clicks Process

My sports site, which had published AdSense ads for the last few months, got the dreaded 'deactivated due to invalid clicks' email a few days ago........no warning, just deactivated.

We're a free site...and it's well known on the web that publishers like us rely on revenue generated from clicks on such banners. We have NEVER incentivized those banners, NEVER breathed a word to our members that clicks help us out, and even requested Google to check our site out completely to see if any potential violations existed.

We got a clean bill of health at that time. And now, suddenly, deativated with no further explanation than that they considered some of our clicks to be invalid.

How can we correct a behavior when we don't know what it is?
What can we do to get our account reactivated?
I also find it interesting that we're deactivated just prior to the time they're due to cut us a check.

Same thing happened to me. One day to the other, and e-mail deactivating de the account. Hundreds of dollars payment freezed. No explanation with precise facts, no responde. Regreatable. I learned the lesson.

OK, so I was encouraging my visitors to click :blush: the ads! I was annoyed with them for docking my meagre 5 clicks as invalid... I guess I should have been grateful that they didn't deactivate my account. But then I am a relatively low traffic site so small beer to them.

P.S. Have removed the offending "inducement", but oddly, even before I did, clicks were suddenly valid again! Wierd... Actually I think the clicks were invalid for some other reason (obscured within their "proprietory algorithm").

Hi guys, same problem, I have checked my competition businesses on my ad sense and I have banned them from my list, next few days I was out of ad sense business and Google have had robed me for over 100 USD, legally earned. I thought that was my right but because they are big - they are right. After that my ranking has gone from place 17 to nowhere. Now I'm usually on 63 with 220 offers of properties in Poland where majority of pages before me have few of them or none at all. Do you think it is fair. Maybe try Yahoo and MSN where, at least there I'm on the top for what it is worth it, not because somebody's profit for any cost. - zig's property development on www.property-in-poland.biz

Just recieved the dreaded email, and can only say I have never encouraged anyone to click on my ads. Have just finished sending my appeal, will check back later with a progress report.
