Another member reports receiving an email from Google asking the site to allow GoogleBot to spider the site. In this thread, references are made to another web site that has the text of such emails, which appear to based on a
form letter template - that is, the text of these emails are the essentially the same. Some members debate whether these emails are sent out in large numbers, and/or in an automated fashion, or sent individually. Some members claim this is spam. GoogleGuy
again says that the email was likely sent because someone at Google thought the site was good.
