How Google spam reports are used

I don't buy that explanation. To me it seems like Google don't have enough people to take actions in all the spam reports. In other words, it cost to much to have someone manually analize and remove pages. The result is that cloaking for example, is very much used in hard competetive positions/keywords (like loan) because Google allows it. In the long run, I believe it will hit back on Google when the users get irritated in finding lots of spam results - false and deceptive results.
Also when neglecting spam reports, Google supports the cloaking SEO companies. They make money on cloaking their clients pages. Money that Google misses out if they could had sold Adwords to those clients instead.
I believe this cloaking phenomena will continue -I seen evidence that this is a luctrative market and Google does nothing to stop it.

i keep submitting a spam report but no one seems to do anything about it ....

any advice?

If Google wants any respect at all prompt action should be taken to remove people that cheat. If anything Google is PROVING that cloaking, doorway pages, keyword spamming, hidden text and the like are HEAVILY rewarded since traffic = cash.

I hate the lax attitude that google takes on spamming the engine.

I don't want to be forced BY GOOGLE to use these techniques in order to be a competitor in my marketplace.

Your Report will take in making there search algo more strong , in next update you will find it. or it may take month or evern year . as they use in updating there algo. :cry:

I think that google spam algorithm is broken. I reported a site a few months ago. Since then the site ranking has gone to #3.

Just search for Web based timesheet in google, the #3 result is

Click on this site and it will take you to one page and then wait a second before redirect.

I don't care if the GoogleGuy on these boards is actually a Google staff member or if is an impostor. I've been reporting spam results to Google for years, and the response has always been right and even predictable. It's true that sometimes it takes some time to see any change (I've waited up to 2 months), but they manage it the propper way.
If a new way to hide text from users is reported, Google DOESN'T add to the algorythms a mechanism to BAN sites using it. Instead, they ensure that the algorythms will just ignore such cloacked text, and maybe reduce the rankings of sites using it. So, if you report spam for a competitor that is using a few minor tricks to appear higher but still has more and better content than yours, it will still rank higher than yours despite the report, just because it still deserves it, despite the tricks.
Remember that Google doesn't care about webmasters as much as they care for USERS.
By the way, if you provide technical info in the reports, response is faster. Ie: if a page is cloacking, give full, technical details on how the page is achieving it. Normally you might find it out by checking the source code of the spammy page.
And remember, try to make reports of spam that hurts users, not reports of sites that just hurt you. When G sees that users are REALLY being affected by an issue, they take it much more seriously.

i have only one question if you check this site http://www.foreclosurelistingsnationwide.com , you can see keywords stuffing in content and tags and too much of paid bad link indexed by google why is this? and its top for foreclosure listings and many search term and multi domain with same business is connected
