I've also seen quite a few people say that they've dropped in rankings. I'm happy to take specific reports--use the keyword floridaupdate in email to webmaster [at] google.com or via the spamreport web form. So I'm judging things from a lot of different areas. After we'll through the "sky is falling" stage of the update, I'll still be here looking for specifics, feedback, constructive suggestions, etc.
