From the Q&A thread, the question is whether is is better let Google find a site by following links from other sites, or to submit it directly. (Aside: there are some members of the forums who suggest the the site submission form is bogus, and won't get your site listed at all) GG says that it doesn't hurt to submit your site, but it's better if other sites link to yours, because then Google can calculate a PageRank for the site, which contrinutes to rankings. This seems to confirm that sites without backlinks have no PageRank. Link to quote

I have two what I think are unusual and interesting sites, but I cannot get them listed.

One proposes a novel way to finance political campaigns: http://xellex.freehomepage.com/Money%20Politics/index.html

The other proposes an anti-terrorism weapon: http://xellex.freehomepage.com/Anti-Terror%20Weapon/index.html

They both have meta tags and are quite proper, yet they don't seem to get hooked by any engine. I cannot understand it.

Any links to these pages ?

By the way, try to remove "spaces" (%20), or replace them by a "-".

It doesn't matter, you can submit your site with out problems. Google just try to say that links are better for you popularity and a natural way to find you.

You do this only for "one" time. Then Google will do the rest from you sitemap.xml
