New semantics logic in Google Update?

Importance: Medium

Personally, I find GG's first comment below very interesting. The comment that he is replying does not contain any complaints about the update. The member expressed an opinion that this is a "smart" update, that seems to consider the context of the search query better. The member also noted that new spam filters seem to be in place. Finally, the member wonders whether technology from the Applied Sematics acquistion is a part of this update. To this GG says "I respect your opinion". Hmmm...

Chicago, we've jousted a lot about AdWords and other stuff in the past, so I respect your opinion. :)
