Blog Charity Donations

I have decided to donate a portion of the proceeds from my blogs and web sites to charity. I have sponsered Hama, a 9 year-old boy from Niger, Africa. My monthly sponsorship donation contributes to the building of wells, medical clinics, schools, and more. Hama from Niger, Africa

I think that everyone who earns a little money from their blogs and web sites should donate a portion of that money to charity. Bloggers and webmasters can make a difference. I encourage other to do the same - and to spread the word to others. Bloggers have a loud collective voice. Together we can use that voice to make a difference in the world. Technorati now tracks 1,000,000 blogs. If only 10% of those blogs donate $1 a day, collectively we could donate over $35 million to worthwhile causes each year.

You can sponsor a child like Hama for about $1 a day. Can you afford $1 a day? Click here to visit Plan International and choose your country of origin in the yellow box on the right side of the page. If you are in the United States, click here. Please sponsor a child like Hama and then be sure to blog about it. Also, place a small photo of your sponsored child in the sidebar of your blog, along with information to encourage others to donate. Bloggers can make a difference in many ways - I think that this is one of the most important ways of all.

there are many sponsorship charities. I have recently sponsored a child from Zambia through the world vision organisation. but if you type in child sponsorship into a search engine then it will bring up many different organisations. Hope you take up the challenge of sponsoring a child.

I applaud your commitment, passion and enthusiasm! Myself and a group of executives from the tech and media industries have created a site called GiveMeaning.com which offers a new way to give.

It's the only site where 100% of your money gets to the charity you're supporting and it reflects a new way of thinking about giving. Instead of donating just to a charity and hoping that your money actually gets to where it's supposed to go, you choose a specific project (we call a GivingGroup) that you want to donate to. Through the GivingGroup, you see the progress towards the goal and the results achieved once the money is raised.

Check it out and let me know what you think.

That is awsome. I love to see other companys and people supporting Charities and good causes. I own a t-shirt printing company, and we donate 5% of each order to charity. and sell our line of shirts, everytime we sell one we give one out at a homeless shelter. check it out www.tshirtcharity.com Keep up the good work.

I want to tell you how much child sponsorship has changed our lives for the better. We started sponsoring a child in Uganda through World Vision last year, and now sponsor 7 through different charities. I can assure you that it really does make a huge difference for these kids, and because it would take me hours to tell you all about it, I will just direct you to our "Treasures of Africa" non-profit organization website, which talks all about our sponsored children, and all of the projects we are working on, with money raised from the sale of handmade African crafts and art.

I've made a committment to join you and the others here to make a monthly donation based on sales to a charity where I know the money will have a great affect. Thank you for inspiring me and others to contribute.

I think that it is very admirable for you to help others. Another great site to donate to is www.geocities.com/jkollhopp

FINALLY A DONATION SITE THAT HELPS HARD-WORKING MIDDLE CLASS PEOPLE WHO WORK 40 Hrs. A WEEK AND STILL STRUGGLE TO MAKE ENDS MEET...

100% of all donations don't go to the poor, homeless, or jobless. Donations actually go to veterans who served their country honorably and actually have full-time jobs but can't seem to get ahead. They have children and live pay-check to pay-check. Donations go towards education and mortgage payments only.
