I have created a plugin that can be used with MT-Blacklist. BlacklistStats makes it easy to summarize and rank the statistics for you blacklist. More information can be found here.

There is also Blacklisters available for NucleusCMS, which can be found at http://wakka.xiffy.nl/Blacklist?v=v5w
More informations about the plugin and Nucleus can be found at http://nucleuscms.org/
I'd love if you would add these plugins that have been developed for other systems to this site too, thus making it easier for bloggers to find one for their particular platform. |

Richard,
Do you mean the database on this site, or the actual MT-Blacklist database?
If you mean this site, send me your url and I will take a look ( spamdb at markcarey.com ). I can't help with regards to the MT-B list. |

By accident, in my personal e-mail program (Microsoft Outlook),I opened two e-mail messages that were left as comments on my blog. They turned out to be spam. The strange thing is that the spam messages VANISHED as soon as I closed them, and I can't find them!! The sender was "Anonymous." Do you think they could have harbored a virus?? The messages remain as comments on my blog. |

What's the best way to combat spammers if I use Blogspot? I have it set up so I get an email for any comments, and I have it set so there is word verification so machines can't auto-post, but still the spam is getting to be a royal pain. Any tips? Thanks |

Biggest issue is spam comming via trackbacks. Even with Captcha enabled trackback API is fully automated and if you have posted anything on other blogs that allow spam comments the flood gates are open for spam. |

Maybe we need an open-source community aspect to fighting blog spam? That would help bring more minds together to fight this problem.
