Hot Prospect Julius Ward

A 5-foot-8 Point Guard from Detroit,MI with a great all-around game and some tremendous upside. Still has work to do though but shows signs of a great basketball player. Does make too many mistakes with the ball which is one of his weak points but uses his basketball IQ to his advantage which stands out from other undersized Guards. has a great feel for the game and is very aware of his basketball past time. Credits Micheal Jordan, Magic Johnson, Larry Bird, And George Gervin as his basketball influences. Love to review tapes on his games to see what he has to work on. Hard-Working talent with a great future ahead of him if he stays focused.

Julius Ward Interview

David Lowes Sr. Writer/VP Michigan underground Magazine.Org

MichiganMag.Org:
What made you decide to play basketball?

Julius Ward:
When I was around 9 I saw Julius Erving play and what I saw was amazing, He was doing all types of fancy moves and making the opposition look stupid in the process and I felt like I could do those same things he did so I started playing basketball.

MichiganMag.Org:
What to you was your biggest game past or present?

Julius Ward:
I played in a City-Wide Championship with my Elementary school team and i just remeber all of the people that were there going crazy for the opposing team and I remember catching a loose ball rebound and lobbing the ball from half court as time expired and making the shot. I was only around 10 years old and I was abot 4'8' at the time so I think that was my best and biggest game to me.

MichiganMag.Org:
What are some of your future plans?

Julius Ward:
I plan on attending College and continuing my basketball career. I would love to play professional ball but if that doesn't work out than I would like to open up a basketball gym as a business after I graduate from college.

MichiganMag.Org:
Let's Say you do go Pro, What are some of your plans when you sign thay Multi-Million Dollar Contract?

Julius Ward:
That's a good Question, I really haven't thought of playing the NBA in a money type of way but I think I would buy a Home for my family and for myself and invest the rest of my money so I can still have some when I retire instead of spending it all like I do with the money i make now.

MichiganMag.Org:
What are some of the leadership qualities you practice and preach on the floor during gametime?

Julius Ward:
Hardwork, Intensity, Dedication, Hustle, Poise, Savvy, Swagger, Aggression, Passion, Hunger, Heart, Teamwork, and playing like every play will determine the outcome of the game, Just playing for THE LOVE OF THE GAME!!!

Thank You
