I'm wondering if anyone feels the way I do? Should the records set to be broken this year have a asterik next to them? ie. Payton Manning's chase of Marino's TD record. Since the NFL became cissified toward recievers this year. Marino had to make passes to receivers that were being mugged, or escaped muggings due to their speed. Payton has the luxury of passing to recievers that must be babied. I know that the game must change in order to make it better, but when the rules change drastically and make records a speed bump rather than an achievement, I think it cheapens the game. I don't want to take credit from Payton, he is having a great year and is a great QB, but I feel that if it changes the record books, the rules shouldn't help stats. |

i guess no ones on here right now. Anyway, the reason i asked if u guys have heard of rugby league is cos the Australian representive team is going over to the USA to play your team. Rugby league is a hugely popular sport over here, but its only just starting to be played over there. If you want to see what a great game it is, the game between Aus and USA is gonna be shown live on tv over there. This Thursday night i think, but im not sure exactly what time, it could be 8:30 if you could find out that would be great. If you live in Philadelphia, you can go along and watch the game, im not sure the exact location though.
If you do watch it, dont expect it to be anything like gridiron (is that what you call footy there?) its way different so it would take a while to get used to. Anyway dont miss out, the players from Australia are like superstars over here, its good of them to spend the time and effort promoting footy in your country. Thank you. |

Steelers !
Playoffs - for sure !
Jacksonville this week - look for JAX to upset. Steelers need a loss sometime ~ bring them down / focus on the Playoffs. |

A good sub forum would be like draft talk or even mock drafts.
My team is the Chiefs |

Okay, Paul. Here it is.
We don't have a lot of active forum members just yet, because this site is new. So invite your friends! I can help customize things to make this a cool place to discuss sport topics. |

is the pleasure of watching football derived only from wins -- or from just watching great athletic ability -- even in a losing team. i'm having a debate with my friend about this -- does it all really revolve around the superbowel or playoffs? cuz i get alot of enjoyment out of watching players show up when its not necessarily practical to do so. |

I think the pleasure of watching football is the players. The big plays. The athletic ability. But it is fun to be a fan of a team that is horrible, does really well again than bad and back to good.(Panthers) |

Maurice Clarrett is an interesting Rb to draft--especially since he was very highly touted a few years ago. I think we can safely say when Clarrett gets back into Football shape, he will be a good running back, if not great. |
