Who do you think is the best overall player in the NFL. In my opinion it is Julius Peppers. Very talented athlete with a tremendous upside and great size and speed and he is still young. He will be one of the great sack artists, plus he makes the big play when his team needs it.

argualy, your right, but i will go out on a limb here and say manning is he oviously is Peyton manning, he broke dan marinos record and has had another great season, even though he cant beat that pats defense hes still the best

To me I think it's Ray Lewis. The reason is is cause he's a great leader and he can both tackle and cover. He's one of the only linebackers you don't want to go up against.

Why manning he's many a good passer but have you see the offense he got put any Qb in is situation you'll see he is not so impressive.
Julius Pepper nice choice . Ray Lewis great choice. Have you think about Troy Brown from New England Patriots WR/DB/Kr What an athlete he's my choice

The best player in the NFL isnt Peyton, cause he cant beat Tom, Peppers I cant complain about. Lets talk about Culpepper, hes young, strong, fast and hes got one hell of an arm. He threw for 39 touchdowns and only had 11 picks and throwing for over 4 thousand yards. If it wasnt for peyton Daunte would be the man so look out next season cause MY Vikings are working there way up the ladder.

Just cause brett Favre Is a Veteran and has a ring or 2 DOESNT make him the greatest football player, I hate the Steelers but Ben played 1 year of ball and did better than favre could do for the packers.I know Favre is good but hes out of gas and should retire. Aaron Rogers is your future and good luck with that Very Happy

i agree culpepper is the best in the nfl hes younger then manning and alot more mobile now without moss and his luggage i think well see him shine even more

u should probably break this into defense and offense because u cant compare the 2

Culpepper is one year younger and although Culpepper is a great quarterback he along with everyone else is nowhere near as good as Manning is, Manning is head and shoulders the best quarterback in the leauge, people are already talking about Manning getting into the hall of fame and you dont hear that with Culpepper but he probobly will end up getting in

Thornton, The only Reason that you say Manning isnt better then brady is because brady has three superbowl rings and peyton doesnt, not taking anything away from brady but he is nowhere near as good as manning

have you even looked at the stats? i agree manning has a little better stats but cupepper doesnt choke near as much in the playoffs and he doesnt depend on an offensive line like manning plus manning hasnt had to put up with primadonnas like daunte has. and i also agree that brady is the best of the three in this league its rings that determins greatness not stats.

p.s. those are just passing stats if you want to compare rushing stats (which you dont) or sacks taken manning looks alot worse between the 2 and again culpeper is betten in the playoffs but neither one is better then bradyat least not untill they start winning some rings
